No previous experience is necessary, as you will be guided by Dahlia through the weaving, design and finishing process.  We will be weaving with repurposed cotton fabric strips and luxury yarns on rigid heddle looms.  Each student will be encouraged to see this way of weaving as a potential form of art and design which will be foremost in determining a unique table runner and coordinating placemats. Consider bringing your own fabrics to cut into strips and weave with. These can include a son’s flannel shirt, a husband’s neckties, patterned sheets which are no longer in service, etc.  Dahlia will have many cotton fabric strips and yarns to choose from as well.

WEAVE A CLASPED WEFT SCARF
