Class Description: Gelli prints, Monoprints, Mixed Media, Oh My!

Experience the excitement of pulling your own small monoprint on a lovely new etching press. In this fun class, we will experiment with collage materials, torn paper, and the hand-pulled print, and also learn overprinting techniques using stencils on Gelli Plates. If you enjoy mixed media, this class will encourage you to try out new methods of layering and creating depth in your work.

Please bring these materials:

Whatever good printmaking papers you may have such as Arches BFK, and/or a pad of Strathmore 400 Printmaking Paper, 11" x 14" 280 gm.
Higher quality acrylic inks for use on the Gelli Plates.
Pencils and brushes, scissors and an exacto knife.
Papers to use for collage, yarn and string, paper doilies or lace, etc.
Pad of newsprint, larger than 11" x 14". 
YES glue or large glue sticks.
14" x 16" or larger sheet of plexiglas for inking up- Liz will have some on hand if you don't have any, plus inks, rollers and other printmaking materials will be included.
Rags, paper towels.
Please bring a work apron and sketches to work from.
