Beth Stein Lecture on Norman Rockwell

$20/ $15 member

Norman Rockwell was an ‘American Original’.   He was one of our most beloved artists, capturing some of our deepest emotions on canvas.  He produced some of the most iconic and uplifting images of any American artist.  Yet, he was not the “Norman” he appeared to be -  he was a complicated individual, whose private life in no way reflected what appeared on his canvases.  He also became controversial and politically active in the latter part of his career.  Underlying every painting of Rockwell is the belief in the power of storytelling.   Come hear the story of Norman Rockwell as told through the power of his art.
