Best in show- Andrea Bunar- Winter Wisdom
I was just struck by the contrast of the light and dark in this photograph. It draws your eye in with the way the sand falls and curves with an iconic beach shack in the background. I really appreciate the black-and-white image…it is very well done!
First place- Nancy Bloom- Begonia
I’ve always admired the row of cottages as I drive up to P-town …Days Cottages are so well known. This image tells a story with the colorful, classic red truck parked in the front. It pulls you in for a closer look.
Second place- Debbie Pearl- Through the Eye of a Lighthouse (Hunter’s Moon, Jupiter)
When I first walked in the room this photograph struck me right away. Normally you see light houses depicted as more of a landscape, here the angle showing the moon through the lighthouse window which tells a really great story with a unique perspective.
Third place- Sangram Kachwaha- Kaziranga National Park, India
I just love the textures of the elephant’s trunk. The baby elephant is so adorable and tells an interesting story. The richness of the black-and-white really pulls it all together. It is a very striking and well composed image.
