RULES:

  • If you took a Class or Workshop with us in 2017 or 2018 you are eligible to submit your work that you produced in class.
  • Work must have been done in class or done as a result of the class
  • You may submit up to two 2-D works, or up to three 3-D works. 
  • A 30% commission will be retained by the CAC.

Entry day: Tuesday April 3, 10am-2pm
Pick-up: Monday, April 30, 10am-2pm

Show is Open to all, both Members & Non-members, All Mediums, Juried.

All work must be square both in the image and framing. $10 per entry – Two maximum– Prizes will be Awarded: One Best in Show -$200, Two First Prizes-$100 each, Two Second Prizes-$75 each, in two Categories —Small Squares (Up to and including17x17), Large Squares (larger than 17x17.). Frames should not exceed 40" in any direction. 

A 40% commission will be retained by the CAC.

From the enormously talented pool of Artists on Cape Cod, this Exhibition showcases works across the spectrum. All mediums, all subjects and $1,500 in prizes will be awarded.

Opening Reception & Awards: Sunday, June 3, 4-5:30pm
Entry day: Tuesday, May 29, 10am-2pm.        Fee: $20 for 1 or 2 entries (flat rate)
Pick-up: Wednesday, June 27, 10am-2pm

RULES
Artist must reside in Barnstable County. Paintings must be suitably framed and ready to hang. Frames may not exceed 42 inches in any direction.
 
Three dimensional work should be constructed of any substantial material not exceeding 40 inches in any direction. Works that cannot be accommodated will not be accepted. All works must be for sale. All work must be original. Work done under the guidance of an instructor is ineligible.  There must be at least 15 participants in a category for prizes to be awarded. A 40% commission will be retained by the CAC.

Delivery: Work must be delivered to CAC on the specified entry day.
A self-addressed stamped envelope must accompany each entry.

A new and unique exhibition representing CAC faculty and members. Each artist will showcase two works (paintings, photography, print, etc.) of the same landscape, scene or view, each influenced by a different light, atmosphere or season. Both pieces must be the same size, composition, medium and identically framed.

An Artist's Journey- A presentation by Andrew Kusmin

“Palette of Dreams” by Andrew Kusmin features nine themed chapters, each illustrated with
examples of the artist's work and personal stories that provide inspirational lessons for
readers.
Kusmin also offers a presentation that includes stories about his journey as a painter,
enlightening details on how some of his works came to fruition and insight into the teachers
and mentors who guided him along the way.
No charge. Please bring a suitable donation for the Family Pantry of Cape Cod.

 

Andrew Kusmin is an accomplished artist, a dedicated teacher and now a published author who has a story to share with the members and friends of your organization.

Kusmin is a nationally acclaimed watercolor painter who has traveled an unconventional artistic path. He was happily pursuing a successful, longtime career in dentistry when he decided to enroll in a class at a local art center, unveiling another powerful aspect of his identity, one that opened the door to a different life and passion.

Members' Participation Guidelines

  • Fee: $7 each piece
  • Prices will be awarded in all categories with 10 or more participants.
    • There are $100 first prizes and $50 second prizes in each category.
    • Faculty members not considered for awards but are encouraged to exhibit. No fee.
  • Painters: You are welcome to bring in two pieces. Since we have limited space and want to accommodate everyone, one of your framed paintings can be up to 48" on the longest side and the second one is not to exceed 30" on the longest side. (Longest outside edge of frame)
  • Jewelers and Potters: May bring in 3 pieces each.
  • All works must be framed, wired, and suitable for hanging. Copies of masters' works are not eligible; work which has been exhibited at the Center is not eligible; work done with an instructor is not eligible.
  • Membership must be current.

A fantastic opportunity to purchase original artwork from our members such as oil paintings, watercolors, pastels, photography, pottery, jewelry, art supplies, frames, and much more at low prices. Be sure to stop by early for the best selection!

Sacrifice Art Sale Guidelines

  1. All Members are eligible to participate. Membership must be current.
  2. $10 fee for all that are entered. CAC may limit amount of items as needed! Donated items can be submitted free of charge.
  3. Eligible items include:
    • Paintings (do not need frame, only pieces suitable for hanging will be displayed on walls)
    • Pottery
    • Jewelry
    • Frames
    • Art books
    • Art Supplies
  4. An inventory list must be included. Please use inventory sheet (downloadable pdf) provided through the link below or through the weekly email. Each piece should be marked on the front with a number, price, and your name.
  5. Please drop off and pick up on designated days.
  6. Members will receive a 70% of the price. The Creative Arts Center will retain 30%.

Prices should reflect the spirit of a sacrifice sale and should be discounted from regular pricing.

Fourth Annual Chatham Sparkles

PLEIN AIR PAINTERS IN & AROUND TOWN
(RAIN OR SHINE)

Artists will paint Plein Air around town, with their signature red balloon. Stop by and watch the pros at work. The Art will be on display for sale later that evening at the Creative Arts Center. The reception will feature Prosecco and hors d'oeuvres, all are welcome!

The pieces will be on display through October 3.

Sparkling Reception & Sale: 5pm-6:30pm
Pick up:  Tuesday, October 4, 9am-2pm

**Participating Artists - come to the Center at 8:30am, pick up a balloon and flyers, find a local spot to set up your easel and paint! We will direct the public to your location from the Center. Bring your framed piece back to the Center in the afternoon for the Sparkling Reception.
