Show is open to all, both Members & Non-members, All Mediums, Juried for inclusion and awards.

The dimensions of work must be square. All subject matter acceptable (still life, landscape, abstract…)

$15 for 1 or $20 fee for 2 – Two maximum– Prizes will be Awarded: One Best in Show -$200, Two First Prizes-$100 each, Two Second Prizes-$75 each, in two Categories —Small Squares (Up to and including17x17), Large Squares (larger than 17x17.). Frames should not exceed 40" in any direction. 

A 40% commission will be retained by the CAC.

Artists Paint Plein Air In & Around Chatham. Stop by and watch the pros work. The Art will be on display for sale later that evening at the Creative Arts Center. The reception will feature Prosecco and hors d'oeuvres, all are welcome!

Plein Air Painting- Saturday, October 12th, 8am until Early Afternoon

Watch for the Red Balloons and Artists Around Town!

That Evening, A Sparkling Reception 5:30- 7pm

**Participating Artists - All artists are invited to paint plein air sat morning 9am until Early Afternoon. Rain or shine. No fee, please sign up as soon as possible so we can make a map to show the public where you will be. Come to the Center at 8:30am, pick up a balloon and flyers, find a local spot to set up your easel and paint! Bring your framed piece back to the Center in the afternoon for the Sparkling Reception.

MEMBERS' PARTICIPATION GUIDELINES

Fee: $10/Two for $15

Prizes will be awarded in all categories with 10 or more participants. First prizes $100 and second prizes $50, in each category. Faculty members not considered for awards but are encouraged to exhibit. No fee for faculty only.

Painters: You are welcome to bring in two pieces. Since we have limited space and want to accommodate everyone, one of your framed paintings can be up to 42" on the longest side and the second one is not to exceed 30" on the longest side. (Longest outside edge of frame)

Jewelers, Potters & Other 3D: May bring in 3 pieces each.

All works must be framed, wired, and suitable for hanging. Copies of masters' works are not eligible; work which has been exhibited at the Center is not eligible; work done with an instructor is not eligible.

From the enormously talented pool of Artists on Cape Cod, this Exhibition showcases works across the spectrum. All mediums, all subjects and $1,500 in prizes will be awarded. Show will be judged for inclusion and awards.


Entry day: Tuesday, May 28, 10am-2pm.        Fee: $20 for 1 or 2 entries (flat rate)
Opening Reception & Awards: Sunday, June 2, 4-5:30pm
Pick-up: Tuesday, July 2, 10am-2pm

RULES
Artist must reside in Barnstable County.
Paintings must be suitably framed and ready to hang.
Frames may not exceed 42 inches in any direction.
 3D work should be constructed of any substantial material not exceeding 40 inches in any direction.
Works that cannot be accommodated will not be accepted. All works must be for sale. All work must be original.
Work done under the guidance of an instructor is ineligible. 
There must be at least 15 participants in a category for prizes to be awarded.
A 40% commission will be retained by the CAC. Current work only please

Accepted work will be listed online by Fri May 31st at 10am. Check our website homepage. Declined work must be picked up by Monday June 3rd!

This exhibition is an opportunity for students of all abilities who took a class a CAC to show their work.

Things you should know:

  • If you took a Class or Workshop with us in 2018 or 2019 you are eligible to submit your work that you produced in class.

  • Work must have been done in class or done as a result of the class

  • You may submit up to two 2-D works, or up to three 3-D works.

  • A 30% commission will be retained by the CAC.

  • NO ENTRY FEE! NO JUDGMENT!

An Artist's Journey- A presentation by Andrew Kusmin

“Palette of Dreams” by Andrew Kusmin features nine themed chapters, each illustrated with
examples of the artist's work and personal stories that provide inspirational lessons for
readers.
Kusmin also offers a presentation that includes stories about his journey as a painter,
enlightening details on how some of his works came to fruition and insight into the teachers
and mentors who guided him along the way.

Andrew Kusmin is an accomplished artist, a dedicated teacher and now a published author who has a story to share with the members and friends of your organization.

Kusmin is a nationally acclaimed watercolor painter who has traveled an unconventional artistic path. He was happily pursuing a successful, longtime career in dentistry when he decided to enroll in a class at a local art center, unveiling another powerful aspect of his identity, one that opened the door to a different life and passion.
